Naprapathic Medicine

Naprapathy was created in the USA in 1907. During the following decades, Naprapathy spread through Europe and further developed and deepened its roots in the Scandinavian countries, especially in Sweden where the first Naprapathic College outside the United States was founded in 1970.

"Naprapathy, which literally means “to correct the cause,” is a health profession characterized by viewing the neuromusculoskeletal system as a whole... The concept of connective tissue and its effects on joints, nerves, muscles and interaction between different structures within the neuromusculoskeletal system." The Scandinavian College of Naprapathic Manual Medicine

Nowadays, Naprapathic Medicine is regulated in the USA and is well established in Northern Europe, where the profession is part of the Swedish health and medical care system since 1994.
