Osteopathic Integrative Health

An Osteopathic Integrative approach

takes in account all aspects of you because

Everything is interrelated and consequential.

Did you know that...

Gastrointestinal conditions such as food sensitivity contribute to LOW BACK PAIN.

How come?
Digestive issues affect muscle, fascia and nerves in the pelvic and lumbar area. Eventually, this translates into
lumbar or SI joint PAIN

Osteopathic Integrative approach
In this case, manual therapy alone will not resolve the issues completely. GI issues and back pain need to be treated in conjunction. At Postureffect, we partner with experts in the field of Holistic Medicine & Nutrition. A combined intervention opens the possibility for true, integral healing.

Poor breathing habits increase stress levels,

slowing healing and causing exhaustion

Why am I NOT healing?
Shallow breathing stimulates the sympathetic nervous system. In other words, it opens the door to a tiger. If breathing habits are not addressed, the body will remain in a fight or flight mode (chronic stress), pausing long-term processes such as tissue restoration and affecting body functionality.

Osteopathic Integrative approach
In addition to addressing your main concern, we will help you regain thoracic alignment and breathing functionality. This, with the purpose of:

  • promoting organ function and tissue restoration

  • contributing to a more peaceful state of mind.

Your Treatment Plan

During your first visit, we will:

  • Take note of your health history, lifestyle, "workstyle" and main complain(s).

  • Perform an assessment (orthopaedic, posture, movement and breathing assessment, as needed). This, with the purpose of finding the root cause and factors contributing to your condition.

An individualized Osteopathic Integrative Health Plan will then be created based on your condition, situation and expectations. Your plan will aim to:

  • Provide Manual Osteopathic Therapy. Our Osteopathic services include Cranial Osteopathy, Aquatic Osteopathy, Visceral Manipulation, Osteoarticular Mobilizations, fascia and muscle release, Lymphatic techniques, Tai Chi Therapy, etc.

  • Assist you in the process of creating and adapting to more appropriate habits by:

    • Providing a number of routines and activities, adapted to your necessities.

    • Keeping track of change in your condition.

  • Fulfil your initial goals and set future goals, if necessary.

We can help you recover and feel better.
